JTF is happy to announce the charity that will benefit from our Veterans Day Dodgeball Tournament will be America’s VetDogs. America’s VetDogs provide service dogs to Veteran’s and First Responders free of charge. Locally, the organization conducts a puppy training program with the inmates at WCI in Cumberland
For a third year, JTF set up at the Frostburg Block Party. The Block Party is an event organized by the City of Frostburg to welcome the students back to Frostburg State University and introduce them to community organizations and businesses.
At JTF, we are looking forward to the new season. We are working hard on new ideas for activities and features which will include a wider age group and new activities to add excitement to the JTF experience. JTF has already booked 3 new customer events and we are looking forward to seeing our returning customers.
JTF is happy to report on the results of 2018. This year marked the second year of the mobile business model. JTF went to this model after funding for a permanent location was slow and unpredictable. Additionally, the mobile business allows JTF to determine where demand is greatest for the permanent location. JTF has refined permanent location possibilities after two years.
JTF has been operating in the area for about 3 years now. The owners, Ronda and Michael, are not originally from the local area. We choose to move to this area after doing our time, living and working in the DC Area for over 10 years. We were both Federal Government Employees who, after family losses, decided our life needed to change.
The Summer Festival season is in full swing and JTF is happy to be a part of it. On June 23rd, JTF participated, for the first time, at the 3rd Annual Beer, Wine, and Music Festival supporting the Allegany County Animal Shelter. A little rain tried to spoil the fun but didn't keep away the participants from a great event.
The Joint Training Facility (JTF) was excited to be a first-time participant in the Northern Garrett High School After Prom this year. The After Prom Committee wished to change the entertainment options for the kids.
The Joint Training Facility (JTF) is quickly filling up weekend slots for entertainment at local Western Maryland events. The weather is getting warm (hopefully) and the festival is season is getting in full swing.
On January 24 2018, Bob Stevenson, Principal at Beall Elementary, welcomed JTF back for a second team building event with his teachers and staff during their professional development day.
On July 10th, 2017, JTF held a free day camp for local children featuring former NFL star Santonio Holmes and current United States Para Olympic Bobsledder, Jason Strum.
